Tracks time worked; employee management and actions; and tracks budgeted positions.

Information Technology Supports and maintains departmental systems.
Employees Reports time worked; receives compensation for employment (pay and benefits); and maintains personal and deduction information.
Business Partners Department of Personnel Administration Administers human resource polices, classification, terms of employment, negotiations, dental and tax-sheltered plans.
State Personnel Board Appeals rulings and merit system.
California State University (CSU) Chancellor's Office Maintains its own human resources management system, but provides employment information and utilizes the State's payroll function to pay CSU employees.
Judicial Council Administers its own classification plans and terms of employment, and provides program administration.
Department of Technology Services Provides technical services to government agencies.
Control Agencies Department of Finance Administers position policies, State Budget, and calendars.

Tax Entities Federal and State Governments Receives tax withholdings, and ensures compliance with tax laws and rules.
21st Century Project Vendors / Suppliers Procurement Specialist Works with Procurement team on software and system integration procurement.
Software Provider Provides the commercial-off-the-shelf software that will replace the State's Human Resource/Payroll Systems.
System Integrator Implements the selected software.
Independent Validation and Verification Provides independent project oversight.
